Plano, Texas (CNN) – Texas police are hunting for a man who believe that they broke into the homes of four former members of the same fraternity, and then they sexually assaulted.
The alleged attacks took place within a period of months and took place in the cities of level Texas, Coppell and Corinth, according to police. No one has appointed yet as a suspect, although level police last week launched a video - date in April - showing a man who believe that it is responsible for the four rounds.
The alleged victims - all black women in their mid-50 in the mid-1960s - offered similar descriptions of her assailant as a black robust man in his 30s concluding in the mid-1940s. And all were graduates of the same fraternity: Delta Sigma Theta.
"It made the obvious to our victims who knew personally information... about them," said spokesman police plane Andre Smith, adding that none of the women who knew in advance that their attacker.
While giving the members of the fraternity is a "common denominator" of the four cases, Smith warned assuming the attacker charged only for graduates of this fraternity.
"We don't want give a false sense of security to any other group that goes out there," he said.
According to the captain of police of Corinth Greg Wilkerson, all the attacks occurred in "residential environments" 21: 15-4 when the victims were alone. The alleged attack in his town, 35 kilometers Northwest of Dallas, took place on 14 October.
The configuration of the night, the fact of the victims were often actualize and the alleged aggressor "tries to conceal his identity" makes it difficult to definitively identify the attacker, said Wilkerson. He pointed out that the Corinth Police Department is processing the DNA tests as other police departments.
Even so, Wilkerson said that physical traits of the suspect - weighing from 275 to 300 pounds and between 5-feet-7 and 5-foot-9 in height, in the estimation of his Department and balding or with the shaved head of closure - were common, as well as other features such as what he called the distinctive man "swagger" as shown in the video.
Police described the video as coming from a surveillance camera, but does not describe the specific source or location.
"... There are some things that stand out - its size, glasses, mannerism that walk," added Smith. "We know that someone knows (it)..." "We only hope that they give us a call so we can put an end to this."
Wilkerson said that the nature of the attacks suggested the assailant was "possibly suspicious surveillance, spend some time around areas... before the attacks." The captain of police added that the authorities do not know how the suspect learned details of the victims, speculating that it may have been on the internet, have access to an old directory or noting to potential victims with Delta Sigma Theta jewelry, posters or other paraphernalia go out in public.
"We want that understand that your group is being led", said graduates of the brotherhood Wilkerson, urging them to do"advertising" affiliation with Delta Sigma Theta and advise those living alone to stay with a relative or friend until the case is resolved. "(But) we do not want to create any pandemonium."
Headquarters in Washington of the brotherhood, in a statement Monday, urged all its members in the Dallas area to take precautions.
"Thinking that our members are being addressed is disturbing and extremely disappointing," said Cynthia M.A. Butler-McIntyre, President of Delta Sigma Theta. "Unless the person responsible for these crimes is brought to justice, we will continue to remain in close communication with one another and officials responsible for enforcing the law".
