The level of the North of the United States - places like Seattle, Minneapolis and Boston - normally is the southern limit of solar eruptions, said meteorologist Jim Branda in the Office of the national service of Meteorology in Memphis, Tennessee. But on Monday night, the screen - also known as aurora borealis - could see as far south as Oklahoma City, Memphis and Atlanta.
The spectacle of light was caused by a solar explosion.
